Two Primary Types of GOALS

Develop your BHAG and associated SMART Goals. Write them down, edit them, get to the point where you weep a little when you say them out loud. Now. you’re ready to work on getting successful.

There are two primary types of Goals needed to create success in Life and Business. You must have them, say them out loud regularly, write them down and read them out loud to yourself in order for you to be successful.

#1 BHAG

A Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG) is a strategic business statement similar to a vision statement which is created to focus an organization on a single medium-long term organization-wide goal which is audacious, likely to be externally questionable, but not internally regarded as impossible.

I encourage you to have a BHAG for your life as well as your business.

#2 SMART Goals

Smart Goals must be focused on your BHAG(s). Otherwise they are not Relevant enough and can distract from your overall GOAL(s).

These stepping stone goals need to be well organized, fueled by your passion and desire to be successful, no matter how trivial or unexciting they may be. SMART Goals need to be performed so that you can move to the next level and achieve your overall Goals and ultimately your BHAG.

SMART Goals take time to develop and plan out. Do not skip this activity. Otherwise you may develop SMART Goals that are not so SMART in many different ways.

Invest time deciding on your BHAG(s) for Life as well as Business

Be deliberate about developing SMART Goals focused on your BHAG.

Say them out loud, write them down and put all of your energy and time into working them.

This is how you create success.
