My Word of the Year – 2018

Every year I choose a new Word of the Year that guides me in my actions and words throughout the year.

Do you have a Word of the Year guiding you each year? I have been for some time now and it helps me stay on task.

I’ve been declaring a word of the year since back in 2013

2013 – #NoLimit

2014 – Deliberate

2015 – Focus

2016 – Purpose

2017 – Gratitude

I add my word of the year to my email signature.

I add the word to an image on the wall in my office.

I strive to remind myself to use the Word of The Year in a way that will provide me value in my life, business and community

My Word of the Year is primarily intended to inspire me to do better in life.

My Word of the Year has significant meaning to me, not necessarily to anyone else.

However, I love hearing from my network when they hear my Word of the Year and it inspires them to adopt a word of the year and use it in their personal growth through the year.

Ok, so I need another word of the year for the upcoming 2018.

I’ve been pondering this for a few months now. I like the word I have now chosen.

I’ve done a lot of planning. I’ve done a lot of research on how to really move my business to the next level. I’ve gotten deliberate, Focused and purposeful in my routines. Now, it’s time to get into Action.

Action is my word of the year for 2018

Defining Action – the process of doing something, typically to achieve a goal.

I will take all of my planning, focus and ideas and become more deliberate at executing the actions I need to begin executing.

No procrastinating. I need to get to work on what needs to be done.

No over-planning. I have the plan, now I need to take action it.

No excuses. I know it needs to be done.

Must prioritize. If there are multiple steps, I need to do the steps in the right order.

Don’t let brown squirrels distract me. I need to stay focused to my goals.

Action is my Word of the Year for 2018.

I will strive every day to do the right thing, for the right reasons, focused on the right goals.

What will be your word of the year for 2018?
