I am excited to be a have joined a global movement called #LinkedInLocal.

#LinkedInLocal came from the imagination and combined interest of 4 people:

Anna: The sparkling woman from down under that puts legs on ideas and connects people.

Erik: The Chiquita banana that likes to shake and bake and get people sparkling in life.

Alex: The Colombian Brit that doesn’t want to Brexit but whisper wisdom promises.

Manu: The man with the swish that shoots a hoop while adding spice to the world.

This group of people have a united purpose to spice up other’s lives so much that it becomes magical. and are connected to the global concept: 100% Human. Created around the belief that with authenticity, purpose and collaboration we can unlock the door to a prosperous and sustainable living for all.

#LinkedInLocal events have occurred across the globe already. Including:

  • Sydney Australia
  • London
  • Singapore
  • Townsville, Australia
  • Aberdeen, United Kingdom
  • Angeles City, Philippines
  • Rwanda
  • Uganda
  • Brazil
  • Shanghai
  • Winnipeg
  • and many more

Three other North Carolinians are planning to start #LinkedInLocal events in Charlotte, Raleigh and Fayetteville.

The purpose of #LinkedInLocal is to bring together Professionals who use LinkedIn and to get to know the Person behind the Profile.

Starting in January 2018 I am going to start holding a monthly #LinkedInLocal event in Winston-Salem NC.

I am planning to host a small ‘starter’ event in mid to late December to test out the format.

The basic format of the #Triad #LinkedInLocal may look like this:

1 Hour event:

  • 20 minutes of Networking
  • 20 minutes of LinkedIn Q&A and Ideas/Tips
  • 20 minutes of Networking

Until the need and interest develops I need to keep the #Triad #LinkedInLocal meetings to <30 people.

My hope is by doing this we can expand our individual LinkedIn Networks and nurture the many LinkedIn Connections we have within the #Triad to help us grow our businesses and support our communities.

I am working to find the best place to host this event. Still pondering the best day/time for this event.

I want this to be a no cost event which may require it to be held at a restaurant, open space bar or require a sponsor. More to come on this soon.

Thought – wow, wouldn’t be cool if I could find a Microsoft, CRM or business coach organization to sponsor the events. We’ll see.

If you have any ideas or suggestions, please share them with me.

Teddy, I like your idea, you could have the event at our office on the roof, if you would like to. Call me when you get a chance.

Deep Roots market in Greensboro has meeting space available. I believe it is free. It is on Elm St. Just a suggestion even though it’s not W-S.
